Clinical Description
Dr. André L. Churchwell received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his M.D. from Havard Medical School. Dr. Churchwell is a Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), Radiology, and Biomedical Engineering. He is Senior Associate Dean for Diversity Affairs at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and in 2016 was named Chief Diversity Officer for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Churchwell’s experience includes over 30 years as a medical school diversity dean with a research focus on healthcare disparities.
