Research Description
Dr. Meador joined the faculty in 2010 coming from Duke University where he established and directed centers in the Medical Center and Divinity School focused on the intersections of religion and health. His scholarship builds on his clinical, research, and teaching background in mental health, practical theology, and public health seeking a better understanding of the interaction of individual and socio-cultural contributors to health and human flourishing. He also directs the national initiative, Mental Health and Chaplaincy, for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Dr. Meador is Director of the Center for Biomedical Ethics at Vanderbilt.
