Research Description
Our lab studies molecular and cellular machinery with specific emphasis on single molecule and cell mechanobiological methods. We are investigating the proteasome ClpXP, Kinesins, cellulose degradation and synthesis motors among others. We are also pursuing studies on adaptive immunity relating to the ab T cell receptor. We are a single molecule biophysics lab and have a number of instruments capable of combined optical trapping and single molecule fluorescence.
