Clinical Description
I am fellowship trained in trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care.I maintain an active role in clinical research that focuses on improving outcomes for critically ill and injured patients. In addition, I have a research interest in ethics in trauma surgery. I also place a special value in the education of medical students and residents and pursue excellence in my duties as a teacher.

Ultimately, it is my intent as an academic surgeon to investigate clinically relevant outcomes that will serve to improve care. In addition, I hope to more clearly define ethics in the field of trauma surgery with the aim of improving decision making and surgical education.
