Clinical Description
Dr. Menachem is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology. He is focused on transplant cardiology and advanced therapies for adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD). His research has focused on mechanical support in patients with transposition of the great vessels, as well as transplantation in patients with complex congenital heart disease. He recently presented at an ISHLT symposium he developed entitled, "The Tsunami of ACHD Patients Who Need Advanced Therapies: Are We Prepared?" He received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Duke University and his doctorate of medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Duke University. He completed his general cardiology training with a dedicated ACHD year, as well as an advanced fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at the University of Pennsylvania. Before his medical training, Dr. Menachem worked in leveraged finance at J.P. Morgan and mergers and acquisitions at Townsend Frew. He also worked in the Corporate Development and Investor Relations Department at FoxHollow Technologies in Redwood City, California.
