Research Description
Our lab is interested in the immunologic and molecular mechanisms underlying atherosclerotic and cardiometabolic disease. In particular, we are interested in the reasons why the chronic inflammation underlying these diseases fails to resolve.
Clinical Description
Dr. Doran is part of the Vanderbilt Lipid Clinic in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
Research Keywords
atherosclerosis, inflammation resolution, immunology, immunity, macrophage, lymphocyte, monocyte
Clinical Research Keywords
cholesterol, lipids, familial hypercholesterolemia, statin intolerance
