A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sarah Bick in the Department of Neurosurgery.
The lab uses recordings and stimulation from intracranial electrodes in human subjects as well as imaging techniques to study the neural processes underlying cognitive and psychiatric processes with the ultimate goal of developing novel neuromodulation therapies. Current projects include studying the role of dopamine mediated corticostriatal circuits in Parkinson's disease nonmotor symptoms including cognition and impulsivity, studying the neurophysiology underlying working memory and impulsivity, and studying neural activity changes associated with psychiatric symptoms in an intracranial EEG dataset.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in computer programming and be self motivated with excellent communication skills. To apply please email CV, statement of interest, and contact information for 3 references to Sarah.Bick@vumc.org
